Mac aRa Modem Magic is not available for download on MacUpdate because the trust between Tracy Turner and MacUpdate has been broken. Reasons include:
Tracy Turner, the developer, is suspected of posting user reviews of his own product on MacUpdate without the expressed permission of the user. Michael Corgan, Luis E.Boada, and Brian Wratten's user reviews where NOT posted by themselves.
Tracy Turner sent MacUpdate a request to remove Michael Corgan's review, on the basis that Michael "was getting threats from someone because he endorsed [Modem Magic]." This is completely untrue. The real reason why Michael Corgan wanted the review removed was because he didn't post it himself, and was disturbed that Tracy Turner posted it on MacUpdate, in an effort to promote his product, without the expressed permission of Michael Corgan.
The trust between MacUpdate and Tracy Turner has been broken. This will be a very hard thing to repair.
